Have not update my blog for a long time...
This year is a travel year for me, have travelled to Costa Rica for 2 times. The first time was on April (for 6 weeks) - went to San Francisco on the way back to M'sia; the 2nd time was on June (for 2 months) - went to Miami for 3 days due to CR Visa problem and Los Angelas (Disneyland) while travelling back.
There are a lot of changes happened during this period. I met a lot wonderful people, learned a lot of new things especially Spanish and started to observe people and how behaviour changes on some people. I have some good and bad experience, good one will remain in my memory while the bad one i chose not to remember anymore. It was quite sad when i came back and noticed the changes, shocking... angry... helpless could probably describe my feeling. Luckily i found my own way out by reading and learned from that bad experience. Bad experience will make you grow wiser and become stronger... Agree? :)
I got to know a friend who was just converted to become a Buddhist and he has the enthusiasm to learn about the Buddha teaching. We have became very close friend as he always brought me around and taught me a lot of things when i was in Costa Rica. yes.. he has the passion and enthusiasm to learn and become a real Buddhist, so i went to the temple and got him some books related to Meditation, and some basic Buddha teachings in English. He has the rosery and even the buddha statue with him and the most important thing is he doesn't eat beef. I'm going to send him more books at the same time i can also learn before i send him the book. Good for him and good for me as well ... ...
Happy, no worries = enjoy life and enjoying life too much usually can be seen from a person's physical outlook. This indicate good life will make people fat .. hahaha (wat i wanted to say is i have gained some weight as well) i wasn't realise i put on weight until on my way back while i was taking photo suddenly was shocked to see my round has became so big ... eeeeeeeeeeee so i''m currently working hard to get back my shape. Joined back my dancing class (Modern Jazz) and has just signed up a fitness center yesterday. I prefer to join the classes compare to the gym as i am an active person. not machine person :P hehe
Other than that, i have applied a new position within the same company. Didn't know that the job was so hot. There are 5-6 people were applying for the same job and it happened to me my good friend also my good partner in work is applying the job as well. Initially there are 2 req for the job, but we rescheduled our interview due to I need to travel back to Penang and he needs to travel to Costa Rica. That was bad when we got to know one req has already taken by someone else and left only 1 for 2 of us. It has become very competitive now as both of us are doing the same job, i think he has added advantage as he was a Team Lead and now he is the APAC region best agent for the contact center. He has very good project management skill and presentation skill. Anyhow, I am very honest with him told him that he has more advantage than me but I am still good though. I have strong technical skill and of course my strengths too. No matter how, i will fight till the end... Never give up!!! but i still wish him all the best .. hopefully we both will get the job :)
Talk about job, my dept manager has just left for his new job. My team is currently bossless now. We are like chicken without head, flying without wings?? :) There were initially 10 ppl in my team, 1 just left and 1 just tendered resignation and the other 1 waiting for his contract to end. From 10 became 7 and workload is increasing everyday instead of reducing. I know it's going to be hard for the team, as long as we stand strong together and work as a team there will be no problem for us - one stick is easier to break than a bundle of sticks. We were anxious to know who is going to be our new manager too.... things sure will change with different managing style and i'm realy LOST and all my plans are pending, i can't go or proceed any further without knowing who will be my new boss.
There are 3 things keep distracting my mind:-
1) the job that i applied
2) My SAP Certification course
3) new manager
these 3 things are inter-related
If i don't get the job i applied, i will proceed with my SAP certification course. But i have to see if my new manager going to approve for me to take the course. The next intake for the course will be on Oct 29th and i have been requesting this for 2 years... Even if the new manager approve, there will be operation concern in which if I don't get the job, that means my partner has got it.. If he got the job, then i can't go anywhere as we are the only Primary support for the appplication we are supporting. If i can't go anywhere.. means i can't go to KL and take the course. So this is really a big headache for me... What should I do? Cluesless ... i believe in destiny and i am very optimistic :)
